What are some types of laundry soap home remedies?
I have to do laundry for a house of 10. I am always running out of laundry detergent! It is so expensive too. Does anyone know any laundry soap home remedies? Something to save me money! Thanks.

- Only thing I know is dish soap for your dishwasher. If you go to dollar tree or a dollar store laundry soap is cheaper. Buy the cheap kind. It wont work as well but atleast your clothes will be clean some what.
- Perhaps this website can be of help....
- House of ten plus parents; Here is what you need to do; Categorize clothes; fine stuff; that needs to be hand washed; Good stuff that you can’t afford to have color faded; And rest of junk you can afford to have color faded after 10 or 20 washings; Rule of thumb: More clothes you stuff in to save water or whatever; faster it will fade; Less clothes you stuff in less it will fade; if you put one or two piece in full load; in gentle cycle color will last you ten plus years; I got some 25 yrs old; still same as day I bought it; I don’t wear it often as I once did; Separate by color; White; I mean white-white; Dark; blue jean and other dark colors; red are preferably separate they tend to bleed if you put soap; especially first time around; Then light color; beige yellow pastel teal stuff; they all can go one load; if you don’t got enough; Then always wash it in full; load even if clothes are not; it makes less fade; Because what you want is not to have to buy new clothes so make it as long as possible; So its dollar a load; one jean pants is 10 dollars to 350 dollars; that’s 10 load to 350 loads you can do; if you don’t buy one; So more clothes you put in; faster it will fade; And to save dark shade; put ¼ cup of vinegar in it with bit of Clorox 2; bleach; that should protect color from fading faster; And wear dark once; or twice before you clean it; less dirt; less agitation you need; so you can let the washing machine to shake dirt loose; don’t need to rub it down to ground in washing board; As to soap; Hand washing; use dish washing soap; drop or two should suffice; with water in kitchen sink; Color relative to temperature of water; hang dry; or flat dry; then once its bone dry; throw it in dryer; with 3-4 towels; it will soften up the stiff feel; after it dries; They won’t shrink even if you put on hot; same temperature as hot out side; so it won’t shrink if its bone dry; Good stuff; you can’t; shampoo with conditioner; use that; it gets oil out; of your hair; it will do the job on your clothes; And as to bulk stuff; Any grocery store sells bulk soap in 5 gallon pale; at 10 to 15 box; very harsh detergent; None of these stuff with expensive detergent has; soooo you should be able to use as much soap as you need;
