Why do some people bring there laundry in trash bags to the laundromat?

1) I don't wait until my last pair of underwear to do my laundry. 2) The people who bring there laundry in trash bags usually take up 4 or more washers. Hello, other people need to do there laundry too you know. 3) Why a trash bag? They sell laundry baskets at the dollar stores.

  1. they are tacky and/or cheap.
  2. Because they do their laundry so infrequently that they have to put it in a receptical that prevents the smell from pervading through the rest of the apt.
  3. They aint worried about laundry baskets because they are probably spending money on other things like car rims, tents, and GPS systems. People have no clue these days and its sad.
  4. 1) who cares... 2) thats prolly because they have a big family duh 3)because they may not want people to see what clothes they have to wash
  5. Not only can people not see your dirty laundry in trash bags, but laundy will not fall out of a trash bag, unlike laundry baskets. When you get done with your laundry, you can take out the trash - double duty, no laundry basket lying around.
  6. Maybe theyre washer and or dryer broke. Maybe they had a flood. Maybe they decided why bother with a laundry basket when a plastic bag works just as well. If it bothers you then you shouldnt go to the laundry mat. A lot of people take all their clothes to the dry cleaners and just have them do it all. I think what ever works to get it done. At least they are trying to keep their clothes clean.
  7. If the bag has laundry in it then it isn't a trash bag; it is a laundry bag. Before I got my own laundry equipment, I used to sort my laundry at home into 4 or 5 "categories" and take it all to the laundromat in plastic bags. Then I didn't have to stand in the laundromat and sort my things; I could just dump one bagful into each machine and be done in about 90 minutes. As long as people don't go away and leave their laundry occupying a machine after it is finished, there is no problem. The machines are there to be used by whoever gets there first.
  8. not everyone can afford baskts. and maby some people go once a week i know i only go once a week and could care less what other people think. hard to go to laundry mat any more than that i work 6 days a week and can only go on my day off
  9. Maybe that is all they had or could afford.
